5 Ideas For the New Year



2019 is a new opportunity for all of us to better ourselves. Some things we can do to improve our mental and physical health this year are...

1) Skin Care: It's important to wash your face every morning and night with a gentle cleanser to wash away any bacteria that may be lingering on your skin. Every so often, you should also be exfoliating to get the dead-skin off your face. If your struggling with skin problems, this year may be the year you decide to see a dermatologist to ensure you're using the perfect products!

2) No Technology: This may be hard, but try not to use any technology an hour before you go to bed. Screen time can really impact how you sleep, so limiting your time before bed will help you have a better nights rest.

3) Meditation: If you suffer from anxiousness, you may want to turn towards meditation. I have struggled with anxiety for a great portion of my life, and meditating really helped me.

4) Less Heat Products: If you're anything like me, you may use a lot of heat to style your hair. This year, I am looking forward to making my hair healthy again. To do so, I will be using less heat on my hair; I'm limiting myself to 1-2 times per week. If you want to help your hair as well, I encourage you to try this challenge. Hair vitamins may also help you, too!

5) Less Processed Foods: Processed foods can make us all feel very sluggish. This year, try heating better. Your body is important, so it's important to fill yourself up with healthy foods. Something I like to keep in mind while eating, is "Did this come from the earth?" If it doesn't, I usually try to stay away from it.
