10 Ways to be a Good Solo Traveler
Hello guys,
Summer is coming and let’s accept it, everyone would enjoy a nice holiday to recover themselves from all the stress of the year.
The best way to relieve stress is traveling and letting go of it, but sometimes it can be hard to find somebody to travel with. This shouldn’t bring you down, though.
These are 10 ways to enjoy and make the best out of your trip as a solo traveler:
Book a retreat. Don’t go anywhere without booking the place you’ll stay first. Hotels are full in summer and you don’t want to be left without a place to stay in.
Stay someplace social. This way you can meet new people and make new friends.
If you’re old enough, be a barfly. Go out and have fun! It’s what holidays are about.
Allow room for spontaneity. Don’t plan everything and let things go with the flow. The best memories are made this way.
Take tours. Get a map and explore the place you’re in. You don’t want to leave before getting the best out of it.
Travel during the day if possible. When you’re alone, it is safer to travel during the day because you never know what the night brings. Better safe than sorry.
Stay in touch via social media. Don’t detach from your life completely. Use social media to keep in touch with your friends and share your experiences.
Blend in. Don’t be a tourist, be more than that. Let the best part of you take over and don’t be shy to be yourself.
Learn basics of the local language. It’s always fun learning a few things to remember when you’re gone. This way a part of that place will always be with you.
Be cautious with your possessions. Keep track of your things. You want to end the trip with new memories, not with lost things.
That’s it guys! I hope your summer goes the best way possible and stay in touch for other series of “10 ways to”.
Lots of love,
Lola.
