Posing 101: Arms II

Even though arm poses can be incredibly frustrating for some, it happens to be one of the go-to poses for lots of people. Like I said in the previous installment, an arm has 3 limbs, which makes the options for an arm pose incredibly diverse. Personally, I like arm poses more because it's so convenient, and if you're doing leg poses, you have a lower chance of being efficient because of the arms the are harder to cover compared to a shoulder.

If you get the proportions right, you've practically won.

Below are a few examples of arm poses.

For this post, we're going to do a two part pose! A two part pose is essentially a pose where two of the three arm limbs are moved. Below is a picture to help you understand what limbs could be moved. We are changing the bottom two limbs.

You first start off with three dolls and a stardesign tile with the color of your choice.

Then, you angle one of the dolls to a 45 degree angle, and layer it underneath the doll you want on the top so the second doll's hand to elbow is showing.

Next, you take the final doll, and rotate it so it is 180 degrees, and layer it underneath the other two dolls. This time, you only want this doll's hand to be showing.

Once you have finished layering the dolls and have a clear and concise understanding of what you want to be showing after putting on the stardesign tiles, you can start cropping and clearing out the sections you don't need. It is of absolute importance to be careful and precise with the croppings, because you know what they say, quality over quantity

Now that you have cropped out the sections or parts that you don't want shown, you can now cover the remaining areas with the stardesign tiles.

After you've done all that, you're done! There is an optional step of adding a bag or something else to place on the hand, this is a useful and sneaky way to cover up any bits that you can't cover with the stardesign tiles.

I hope you like this post, hopefully this is helpful in a way, and see you in the next installment!

Rachel, xx
