Limited Release: Subcouture
Hi y'all!
This Friday we saw the release of Subcouture. In this collection we saw pieces from a wide range of designers include Paul & George, Mugler, Matthews Adams Dolan, Vera Wang, and Balenciaga.
I've been trying to refrain from buying full collections however I find myself having feeling of FOMO when I don't buy pieces everyone is styling. That did not work this time because I saw potential in almost all of the pieces. The first outfit saved on my doll featured the Wrap Around Jacket. I honestly wanted to do a 'tame' outfit to match my current wig so I stuck with neutral colors.
My favorite piece is the Puff Sleave Jumpsuit, shown in the first outfit. It is a piece inspired by Vera Wang. Although it is a jumpsuit I wanted to treat it as a top and let it be the star of the outfit. I opted for cream color pieces to complete the outfit.
My second outfit styled the PVC Blue Shirt. I loved this top because of the pink sheen it had to it. This sheen also made it a little difficult to style. After digging through my closet I came across this skirt and thought that the metallic in the skirt would go perfect with the pink glow of the shirt. I then completed it with primarily black pieces to complete the look.
My last two outfits definitely are the most colorful of the bunch but the boots each inspired me to do a colorful outfit. I wanted to stick with primarily orange and black for the third outfit. I almost nixed the outfit but kept it after some advice from a friend. My final outfit was more so styled around the graphic in the Bonjour Bizou sweater. I've been trying to style the Tom Ford Tights and the red mixed with the yellow boots seemed to come together to match the graphic.
If you are interested in know what pieces were used in each outfit don't hesitate to ask or stop by my suite!
