Winter Birthday Party
If your birthday is during the winter months, like me, you know it can be harder to feel festive when it’s cold outside and you’re deprived of those summer party activities. But fear not, because I am here to share with you some ways to make your birthday party a hit nevertheless!
Fun in the Snow
Since there is snow all around you, why not take advantage of that and do some outdoor winter activities? Once all of your guests have arrived, I suggest you gear up and do some sledding, it’s fun and it’s not only for kids! Try skating or simply making snow angels and snowmen instead, if that is what you would prefer. Of course, sometimes it is simply too cold to spend more than an hour outside.
Cozy Up Indoors
When you have had your bit of fun and have grown cold, heading back to your place for a hot drink (a hot cocoa or cup of tea, maybe) is a great idea. To set the mood, light some candles and play some of your favorite music. At this point, you might want to pull out your best party tricks and games. I personally love the party card game Werewolf, and, my favorite board game, Clue. They are both detective style games.
Household Chef
This time of year is great for comfort foods like casseroles and soup! If you are looking for a guaranteed easy dish, casseroles are really the way to go. Just pop some veggies and seasonings into a dish and let your oven do the rest. Otherwise, you might ask your mom to make your favorite meal that she prepares so well. One last idea for your main dish is to go for something that will please all of your lovely guests. The best way to do that is to choose a food that each person can easily customize to fit their taste/dietary restrictions, like paninis or pizza. If that is what you decide to do, all you have to do is make sure you have a variety of sauces, condiments and toppings. And most importantly, do not forget to have a cake ready for you and your friends to enjoy!
