30 Day Yoga Journey
Showing up on the mat everyday for thirty days is a challenge, and that’s exactly what the 30 Day Yoga Journey invites you to do! Although I have practiced yoga daily during last summer, I’m discovering that it’s something else to actually set time aside everyday, for thirty minutes, to stretch and tone your muscles. School is back in full swing for me and countless others, and amid the many projects and homework assignments, it sometimes feels overwhelming to take the time to clear your mind and just focus on your yoga. But it’s needed, and, trust me, you will feel so much stronger afterwards. This kind of experience is truly refreshing.
Back in 2015, Adriene Mishler began her first thirty-day yoga journey during the New Year. Every video was (and is) free, posted all on Youtube, and accessible to everyone. How magical is that? Her videos, which during the rest of the year are posted every Sunday, are a great way to practice at-home yoga. So, this is a great alternative for those who don’t have the means to attend a yoga class or who, maybe, don’t have the confidence.
My personal yoga voyage really began around this time last year, when I was gifted my first yoga mat. I had recently quit doing competitive gymnastics and was looking for a way to still exercise. What made me fall in love with yoga is, among other things, how versatile it is. There is a practice for everyone, whether you are looking to unwind or, instead, want to light up your core with some ab work.
So, that’s it! If you’re interested, it is certainly not too late to join.
