Starting Spring Semester

If you're in the States, or starting another semester of school/University/College soon like I am, you're a little stressed to get back into the swing of things after such a long Holiday break.

Jumping back into school after break can be difficult, but it's also a wonderful opportunity to get back on track! As a Junior in college, I've acquired some awesome tips and tricks to make each and every semester successful!

Colored Notebooks & Folders: This may seem childish, but it's necessary! Get different colored notebooks and folders for each subject so each class has a specific color. This can help you keep everything organized. Organization is so important!

Agenda: Whether you think you need it or not, get an agenda. You may think you can remember every assignment and due-date, but everyone slips up sometimes.Write down every assignment and due-date so you can have everything in one place!

Ask Questions: Don't be afraid to speak up in class and ask questions. You are more likely to remember important things from class if you're engaged in the lesson. You're also more likely to remember answers to questions if you're the one to ask the question in class.

Stay After: So, you're not going to want to stay after school with a teacher for extra help, but I promise you it will be beneficial! Staying after will prove to your teacher that you're interested in what they're saying, and it was also show them that you're trying. If you're trying, they're more likely to give you a few extra points here and there on exams or on your report card because they know you've made the effort.

Best of luck in school this semester!

Always, Brooke
